This Apple Sage Splasher Mocktail is the perfect fall drink for grownups who would like a dry option. Just a kiss of sage keeps it from being too frilly. Try it!

Take heart, AIPers! We are not alone in the search for dry drinks! More and more people are realizing the benefits of limiting their alcohol consumption. Personally, I really enjoy a good glass of dry wine, but I also understand that my body finds alcohol to be extremely inflammatory.
I don’t want us to feel deprived. There are definitely ways to enjoy a non-alcoholic drink without feeling like we are drinking juice at the kiddy table. For this drink, I wanted something fall-like, without tasting just like apple juice. I brewed a spiced apple and sage syrup, poured over some ice in a cinnamon and coconut sugar-rimmed glass, and topped it with a splash of seltzer water. Ta-daaaaaaa! A grownup dry drink!
Tips for success at mocktailing
There are two things that will really help you to enjoy mocktailing. The first is that to make sure to serve yourself in a beautiful glass. I got these lovelies at some random store I can no longer recall, but I did spot these similar dishwasher-safe crystal rocks glasses that I thought were beautiful on Amazon.
The second tip is to make mixing syrups ahead of time, and keep them in the fridge. That way, you are always ready to make yourself something delicious when the mood strikes.
